With your help we raised close to $23,000 for our summer Youth Education program with the Red Hook Community Justice Center!

Thanks to your support, the 2021 cohort of students will use documentary filmmaking to explore marijuana legalization in New York City, with a focus on the impacts on their community. Students will investigate their own questions about drug laws and their enforcement, and will learn that the places where they live are products of decision-making that they can help shape.

At the end of the project, students will present their findings by creating an original documentary film that draws on conversations with community-based organizations, elected officials, educators, and other stakeholders in Red Hook. Stay tuned for more updates on the project!
